There used to be two famous brothers called "Ko Htu" and "Ko Hta"
who would help anyone in need and especially those in distress.
It seems that individuals and/or organizations are filling in
their "shoes" by helping the Cyclone victims.

CHARITABLE ALLIANCE OF
BURMESE AMERICANS
As many of you know, Cyclone Nargis battered Myanmar("Burma") on May
2. According to the United Nations, an estimated 24 million people
live in the affected areas, including 6 million people in Yangon.
Two Natural
Disasters, 2 different responses
one slow, one fast May 14, 2008 UNITED NATIONS - TWO natural disasters
in tightly controlled Asian nations have produced two very
different responses: Myanmar's very slow response to Cyclone
Nargis. (Straits Times - Singapore)
MAY 10, A SAD DAY IN BURMA
.Today,
May 10 is a sad day in our country’s history. The military junta is going
ahead with their flaw referendum despite the appeal from the whole world,
including Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki Mon to postpone
the process so that people can focus their effort in helping the Cyclone
Nargis victims.
